Bespoken Gifts

I recently watched the remake of Fletch. A scene caught my attention where a home decorator was showing her place to Fletch and commenting that all the furniture was bespoken. She used it like the items were better because if that, a pretentious word she wasn't able to explain when asked.

Thing is the word is really basic at it's core. It is something made specifically for someone based on their request or requirements. In art that could be a commission if the person asked the artist to create something, but what if the artist wants to create a gift?

This was my mission in December. To create some magical paintings for my young nieces and nephew based on their favourite animal. A surprise - A bespoken gift - specially painted for them with love based on their chosen animal.
