Unwind with Watercolour

Life moves fast, but your brush doesn’t have to.

Rose painted in 5 minutes (sped up) - A break of colour, taking time for relaxation.

Watercolour is more than just paint on paper—it’s a moment to pause, breathe, and let colour flow. Whether you have 5 minutes or an entire evening, taking time to play with paint can be a simple way to relax and reset.

I don't always have time to get lost for hours in the play of water and colour, although I would love to, sometimes I only have the length of a song. But that doesn't make the time spent any more valuable.

Today, I found myself reflecting on the Garden Delight roses growing in my childhood home. Inhaling deeply, I allowed myself to remember, and let the moment unfold. There’s no rush, no need for perfection—just the soft contours, the blending of colour, and a quiet moment.

What’s your go-to way to unwind after a long day? Let me know in the comments!
