WILD IMPRESSIONS
Watercolour Impressions of Canadian Wildlife
Four images, each done with different techniques using watercolour focusing on the nuances conveyed through the eyes of Canadian wildlife. Each of these paintings has it's own story, each was inspired by a Canadian photographer's image. Click the links beside each picture to see the full story.
“The eyesight for an eagle is what thought is to a man.”
— Dejan Stojanovic, The Creator
Inspired by a photo from Trent Ernst. See the story of why eagles are such an important part of my history as a painter and person.
“Bears have a mystery about them that has captivated humans for centuries.”
― Chris Packham
This image was inspired by a bear encounter while camping and a photograph taken by Marc-Olivier Jodoin of Quebec. This painting took me three tries. When I finished it I practically floated in joy.
